Keynote "Everyone can do AI – or can they?" for decision-makers and IT leaders.

Duration 20-25 Min
Quality Night Hamburg talk

About the Project

As part of Quality Night Hamburg 2026, a keynote on "Everyone can do AI – or can they?" was delivered. The target audience was decision-makers and IT leaders – therefore the focus was on conceptual aspects rather than technical depth.

The talk addressed the gap between the hype around AI technologies and the real challenges of implementation in companies. Central topics were the most common pitfalls in AI projects, realistic expectations for AI systems and practical approaches for successful implementations.

Particular focus was on understanding modern retrieval technologies: Why Hybrid Search (combination of keyword and vector search) delivers more robust results than individual approaches, how Semantic Reranking improves the quality of search results, and what implications current research like "Lost in the Middle" has for practice.
