About the Project
A company needed a comprehensive solution for project management and controlling that integrates multiple heterogeneous systems and enables unified reporting across all levels – from individual employees to the corporate level.
Project Time Tracking
Project time tracking and management: Development of an application (React TypeScript Frontend + FastAPI Backend) for recording project times. The bidirectional SAP connection enables both synchronization of master data and direct booking and invoicing of project times in the ERP system.
Master Data Management
Master Data Management: A Power Apps-based solution for central mapping of users, projects and financial data from SAP with various source systems. This master data layer forms the foundation for consistent, cross-system reporting.
Data Lakehouse
Data Lakehouse: Building a Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse for storing and analyzing project and financial data from all connected systems: SAP, WAVE, project management tool (SQL Server), ECM software and HR systems for general time tracking.
Data Model
Cross-system data model: Development of a unified data model that integrates all source systems and enables consistent reporting in Power BI and Excel.
KPIs and Reporting
KPIs and Reporting: Extensive reporting landscape with metrics at all aggregation levels: Utilization metrics (employee, project team, department, company, group), project progress metrics, financial metrics (revenue, costs, profitability) at project and team level, forecasting of project times, costs and revenues, and plan-actual comparisons at project level.
